ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER

This is a great career opportunity to be a part of a growing company and lead a young and energetic team.  As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will have a strong focus on developing your team and ensuring profitability of the hotel.

You will lead by example in delivering a unique guest experience.

As an Assistant Operations Manager, you must: 

  1. Maintain excellent customer service
  2. Lead by example in communication with all guests
  3. Provide training for team members and monitor their on-going performance
  4. Have experience in managing the day-to-day operations of the Hotel.
  5. Drive the operations successfully towards achieving financial goals and KPIs
  6. Have minimum 2 years of hospitality management experience.
  7. Have excellent computer skills-Extra weightage will be given to candidates with knowledge of CMS
  8. Consistently display a "can do" attitude
  9. Work very closely with the Operations Manager and should be able to take charge in the absence of the Operations Manager
  10. Be patient with excellent interpersonal skills
  11. Have strong analytical skills and basic business acumen
  12. Have a driver’s licence and motor vehicle

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal Candidate must:

  1. Have At least two years hands on experience in managing the operational activities at the hotel.
  1. Possess excellent computer skills and have knowledge of CMS.
  1. Have a minimum of 4 star rated hotel experience.
  1. Be Self-motivated and able to work on his/her own with minimum supervision.
  1. Must have managed a team of at least six personnel
  1. Be totally results and KPI driven.
  1. Be capable of taking ownership for self and team.
  1. Interact well with Hotel Operation staff for smooth day to day functioning.
  1. Be very well presented with great outgoing personality.
  1. Possess high level analytical skills.
  1. Have excellent written and spoken English communication skills

Responsibilities of a Housekeeping Supervisor:

* Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure service standards are followed
* Handle Guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying the proper areas
* Ensure Room Attendants are informed daily about priorities in their section
* Follow set policies and procedures
* Report necessary maintenance items
* Follow all safety and sanitation policies
* Experience with Hotel Property Management System
* Proficiency in English (verbal & written) essential
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity in a hotel Housekeeping environment
* Proactive with an eye for detail
* Strong organizational, supervisory and communication skills
* Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
* Work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
* Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and Guests
