When you enter the Zoo, you’ll be walking the Tricky Tongues and Treetops section first. Try to guess what you’ll see there. On the other side is the Wallaby Cliffs section, then next is the Devil’s Den.

Operating Hours

Just like its nearby attractions, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is open from 9:30am until 5:00pm but the last entry is until 4:00pm only so that you can fully enjoy your time there.

The Zoo also holds Keeper Talks happening every weekend at regular specific time that you wouldn’t want to miss.

11:00AM / 1:30PM – TREE KANGAROO TALK | Happens at the Tricky Tongues and Treetops section.
The keepers talk with Kofi, their fluffy, blue-eyed adorable Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo who loves climbing trees and boiled eggs.
11:30AM / 2:00PM – TASMANIAN DEVIL TALK | Happens at the Devil’s Den section.
The keepers share all about their four Tasmanian Devils and their behaviours and the conservation efforts that are being done to protect these carnivorous marsupials.
12:00PM / 3:30PM – KANGAROO TALK | Happens at the Kangaroo Walkabout section.
The keepers let you meet their Kangaroo Island Kangaroos mob: Dot, Dusk, Julie, Nutmeg, Kirby and Frankie! They share what kangaroos eat, if they really box and how far they can hop.
12:30PM / 2:30PM – CROCODILE TALK | Happens at the Kakadu Gorge section.
The keepers share fast facts and about the conservation issues facing crocodiles in the wild. Our keepers will take you on an amazing journey of discovery to Australia’s Kakadu Gorge.
1:00PM / 3:00PM / 4:00PM – KOALA TALK | Happens at the Koala Rooftop section.
The keepers lets you meet arguably Australia’s most iconic animal at Koala Encounters. They share about Koalas typical laid back nature!
